An exciting sales management opportunity with a market leading trade publication and digital marketplace has become available. The International Sales Manager will expand and increase the revenue from International advertising for the Antiques Trade Gazette, and This is a fast paced and rewarding environment with huge opportunity for growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To meet and exceed targets for the International advertising section of Antiques Trade Gazette

  • Selling on, developing and executing new advertising ideas for features and opportunities across the year

  • To achieve and exceed targets for digital marketing, and

  • Key client account management for both media sales and relationship

  • Maintain excellent relationships with the key auctioneers in France and Germany

  • Development of new business with a focus to fall on International art and antique dealers; increasing their presence in the ATG

  • Plan, prepare, & execute effective business visits to designated sales territories in Europe

  • Ability to work under pressure and to deadline

  • To assist and advise clients with the technical requirements of ATG and digital marketing

  • Accurate compilation of Auction & Fairs calendars for the International section, insuring timely distribution of these to the editorial team

  • Be part of the sales leadership team at ATG

Key Skills:

  • Fluent written and spoken English at “mother tongue” level plus fluent French and German. Italian is desirable. Experience in selling in-country in the native tongue is important.

  • Enthusiastic, creative and committed sales-person with c.2-5 years’ experience of sales – ideally with 2+ years digital media sales experience and successful people management ability.

  • Very strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Previous sales experience and a knowledge of publishing.

  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook) along with the experience of a Sales CRM System.

  • Face to face experience with meeting clients.

  • The enthusiasm and commitment to work within a sales environment.

  • Excellent, organisational and management skills

  • The ability to work unsupervised.

  • Reliability and flexibility.
