The move has been made in anticipation of the the long-awaited reform of French auction law.
The building will accommodate up 850 people on three levels and there are two salerooms and five exhibition galleries.
Behind the scenes are 900sqm of storerooms, with administrative offices around an inner courtyard.
An official opening is planned for March 2000.
Christie’s move in Paris
