In a letter to June exhibitors, Clarion recently announced that the 2002 fair would have the use of the National as well as the Grand Hall. With 400 exhibitors this June, some exhibitors feared use of the additional hall would mean a fair of 500 stands or more. However, Clarion clarified the point by insisting that rather than “packing them all in” the event would be more spacious all round with more room for storage.

It will be bigger, incorporating some newcomers and some from the defunct Olympia design fair. But Emma Kendrick-White, Clarion sales manager, did not envisage a total much above 420.
