Florian International will concentrate on executive searches for the top end of the market in fine arts, museums, galleries and high net worth insurance businesses.

With an extensive background in fine arts valuation and auctioneering as well as recruitment and training, Ms Beach had returned to the IT sector after completing her role in helping to establish Drummond Read as the first recruitment and training firm specialising in fine arts. But she told the Antiques Trade Gazette that while Drummond Read were building their business via a database to cover the whole market, offering a broad range of vacancies at the lower and middle sectors, Florian would confine themselves to executive searches, targeting individuals to fill specific roles at the top end.

“Aside from an established database of candidates actively seeking employment, Florian International will build on its network of international contacts to identify key figureheads and act as a confidential intermediary for those wanting to instigate a move should the opportunity present itself,” she said.

With a London base in the Strand, Ms Beach told the Gazette that she has already had significant interest from overseas companies as well as in the UK. By managing the complete selection service, from overseeing the creation, design and placement of recruitment advertising to handling candidate repsonses and conducting the first stages in the recruitment process, she aims to help clients cut costs and bureaucracy.

“The business will grow organically, and I will be personally in contact with clients much of the time,” she explained.
