This is expected to become the top international showcase for the genre and has attracted 40 top dealers from Europe and the United States with a stock from Art Nouveau through Alvar Aalto’s moulded wood and Marcel Breuer’s stainless steel tubes to Shiro Kuramata’s use of space and light.
Put together by Rik Gadella, who runs the top Paris photography fair, it is curated by Amelie Darras-Le Henry, a leading figure in the world of contemporary art and design. The formidable committee who selected the exhibitors features Barry Friedman from New York, Eric Philippe from Paris and Ulrich Fiedler from Cologne.
All the selection committee are exhibiting alongside such major international names as Philippe Denys from Brussels, Galerie Antik from New York, Jacques Lacoste and Olivier Watelet, both from Paris, and Carolle Thibaut-Pomerantz of New York and Paris.
The British contingent includes David Gill, The Silver Fund and Jacqueline Toffler Pruskin.

Louvre opens doors to design salon selectives
RESPONDING to the rise and rise of interest in 20th century design Le Salon du XXeme Siecle will be launched in Paris from June 6 to 9 at Le Carrousel du Louvre.
