The sale highlight was this porcelain plate from the Lomonsov state porcelain factory in St Petersburg, 91/4in (23.5cm) in diameter, adorned with some early 1920s polychrome
decoration by Malevich and, on the back, with handwritten block capitals reading SUPREMATIZM along with the number 660/24. The plate sold for a double-estimate €44,000 (£27,500).
