Patricia and Brian Harvey got wind of the rumours when some of their exhibitors rang them expressing concern. “These rumours may or may not be malicious in spirit, but we’d like to stress that the rumour is incorrect; war or no war, business is as usual and our spring fair is most definitely going ahead,” Mr Harvey assured the Antiques Trade Gazette.
“While some of our regular dealers were caught out by a change of date, 80 dealers were not and will be exhibiting as usual.”

RUMOURS that the Decorative Antiques and Textiles Fair, scheduled for April 8-13 in Battersea Park, London has been cancelled are completely untrue, say the organisers.
