I notice that at the Wendy New York Armory Antiques Show, from December 10 to 14, London exhibitors include Curzon Street
silver specialist Marks Antiques, West End dealer in enamels and precious objects John Jaffa, watches dealer Somlo Antiques, and with jewellery Sue Brown.

The organisers have also have brought in top Paris dealer Steinitz, whose flamboyant stands grace such fairs as Maastricht, the Paris Biennale and Palm Beach, while the South American contingent includes Argentinian tapestry dealer Lily Beer.

Admission to the event at Manhattan’s top fairs venue, The Seventh Regiment Armory at Park Avenue and 67th Street, is $10.

There is even more UK interest in Wendy’s first Spring International Art and Antiques Show at the Seventh Regiment Armory from April 23 to 28 next year.

A surprisingly large number of our home trade have said they will give New York a go at what promises to be a significant international fixture.
