The clocks date from the early years of the 18th century to the mid-19th century and, while most are for sale, a number have been loaned by the Bowes Museum, Barnard Castle, County Durham.

Partridge point out that it is some years since there has been an exhibition of this kind in London and while, of course, the main thrust of the show is to sell clocks, they say another aim is to raise public awareness of the museum.

The museum has just launched a major development campaign to restore its 19th century building and on June 19 Partridge host an Open Evening from 6pm to 8pm on behalf of the Bowes Museum. Tickets are £20 from Lucy Morton at Partridge.
