Fortunately the 40 or so antique dealers housed at The Stables in Camden will not be directly affected by the upcoming redevelopment work due to start this summer. According to project manager Chris Shaw, of Shaw Corporation, The Stables occupy listed 19th century buildings some distance away from the lock area where the new project is focused.
Regeneration for Camden Lock
Pictured right is a computer-generated image of the proposed redevelopment site at Camden Lock in north London. The project, scheduled for completion in October 2004, will include entertainment and leisure facilities, restaurants, bars, shops and offices.
