The gate was slightly up on usual at the September 10 to 12 airing and there were sales, but I hear reports that they followed a strange pattern. It seems buyers were spending either under £200 or over £3000 with little in the middle.
Art Deco bronzes and miniatures were two areas which captured serious money.

NOW well established, the twice-yearly Petersfield Antiques Fair, organised by Caroline Penman at the Hampshire town’s Festival Hall, is a traditional fair which usually ticks over to the general satisfaction of its 43 or so exhibitors.
