Five gates have been taken this month from within a 12-mile radius of Gwynedd. Two black painted wrought iron gates, measuring 5ft by 4ft (1.52 x 1.22m), and thought to be more than 100 years old were stolen from Chwilog Cemetery. In another incident, a black wrought iron gate was taken from Tabor chapel in Llithfaen. Two wrought iron gates, one newly painted white, were also lifted from Pencaenewydd, Pwllheli.

Dealers advised to be on guard after spate of stolen gates
POLICE investigating a series of gate thefts that have occurred in North Wales believe that they were stolen in order to sell as antiques.
