In addition to the well-established monthly sales of fine art and antiques, the Hampshire saleroom will conduct a sale for lesser-value items in the middle of the month. The first was held last Friday (September 17) with future sales for this year scheduled for October 15, November 19 and December 17. Starting at 1.30pm with viewing from 9.30, a rudimentary catalogue will be available on the day priced at £1.

BRIGHTWELLS have appointed Caroline Atkinson as auctioneer for their new Furniture & Collectors sales, which replace the general sales.
She joined Brightwells 18 months ago having previously been in banking and new home sales. She is now studying for a BA in Fine Arts Valuation at Southampton Institute.
Sales in future will take place each week on Wednesdays and will include specialist sales of ceramics, silver and jewellery, toys and textiles and antique furniture.
Specialist picture sales will be held every quarter following the appointment of James Pearn a specialist with over 20 years experience.
