Now the closure of the Acton-based firm has put a host of clocks of all shapes and sizes, barometers, furniture, luggage, and lighting - from Georgian to Deco - onto the market to be auctioned by Rupert Toovey's, Washington, West Sussex rooms on June 15.
Pictured right is just a sample of the Victorian horology and 19th century works of art on offer in June while many of the light fittings and more modest items will be auctioned at a second sale in the West Sussex rooms later this year.
