The service, to be launched on October 21 by the industry’s leading recruitment agency, Drummond Read Recruitment, will allow the company to keep in direct contact with candidates, alerting them to the latest relevant job postings as well as communicating interview details and events.

The facility can be used to send individual or bulk texts to alert candidates who match specific profiles and interests with a new role. The technology will allow Drummond Read to communicate directly from the database.

“Employing the right staff quickly and effectively is becoming our clients’ top priority, and in this current economic environment time is becoming an increasingly important factor,” said managing director Colin Read.

Recruitment manager Catherine Hockley explained: “We are conscious that communicating with our candidates on a regular basis by telephone and email can be difficult. By texting direct to their own personal mobiles confidentiality and discretion can be assured.”
