Husband and wife team Marc Allum and Lisa Lloyd have worked at Rosebery's for 16 and 17 years respectively - and will remain as both shareholders and consultants - but are currently engaged in the restoration of a part 17th century building that sits within sight of the Pyrenees in a nine acre plot close to the village of Sainte-Colombe in the Chalosse region of France.

There, at Château Cöye, they will offer a series of regular four-night courses in both antiques and painting. They are hoping to accept visitors from October including familiar Antiques Roadshow faces who have been persuaded to visit the south of France to provide expertise. The house is within 40 minutes of the nearest airport in Pau and an hour and ten minutes from Biarritz.

Meanwhile Rosebery's have acted to fill the hole left by the departure of two of its longest-serving members of staff. The firm have recently appointed David Holmes as senior valuer working in West Norwood alongside Simon Cooper and Charles Crisford. He was previously at Gorringes and Eastbourne Auction Galleries.
