The Winter Olympia has for some years been held in association with The British Antique Dealers’ Association, but given that an equal number of exhibitors are members of The Association of Art & Antiques Dealers (and many are members of both associations), it was felt appropriate that both the BADA and LAPADA should be affiliated with the event running from November 6-12.

Sarah Percy-Davis, chief executive of LAPADA – who also have an association with The National Fair at the NEC – says she hopes working with Clarion at the most traditional of the three Olympia fairs will yield “joint initiatives that will attract both the trade and the public… to one of the most important arts events. We particularly look forward to working with BADA to promote the benefits to consumers of buying through members of recognised trade associations… and are confident that together we can help increase the market and promote the virtues of traditional antiques.”

Elaine Dean, secretary general of BADA told ATG: “BADA is keen to help maintain the traditional character of the Winter Antiques Fair for our members who exhibit there, and by working together with LAPADA, I am sure we can help Clarion to achieve this.”
