The Saturday evening sale at No 9 Howick Place, SW1 is tailored to complement the Frieze Art Fair with approximately 70 lots by the fashionable artists that will resonate with customers at the Regent’s Park event that runs from October 12-15.
Following the sale, that includes Elizabeth Peyton’s Princes William and Harry, 1999 estimated at £350,000-450,000 alongside Marc Newson’s Event Horizon Table, 1992 (estimate £160,000-180,000), a reception to celebrate the 210th anniversary of Phillips will follow complete with a performance by 80s favourites The Human League.
Phillips have not held a conventional auction in the UK since the lion’s share of the company was acquired by Bonhams five years ago.
