Inspired by the movement in Britain to promote the green credentials of antiques, Calendar Shows, organisers of antiques shows on the West Coast, have chosen to combine their flagship fair with the sort of green living event that has become popular with environmentally conscious consumers.
The Green Meets Green Expo on January 22-24 will fill two exhibition halls at the Del Mar Fairgrounds, San Diego. The Old Green hall will feature the 300 dealers that comprise the Del Mar Antiques Show, while The New Green hall hosts the Friends of the Planet Market, filled with exhibitors featuring 21st century environmentally conscious products and technology embracing everything from building products to baby clothes.
