The initiative is being driven by BBC Homes & Antiques magazine, one of ATG's partners in the Antiques Are Green movement.

Last year more than 1000 dealers signed up to a ten per cent discount scheme with H&A, and this year they are looking for even more dealers to back the bigger discount offer.

"We feel that a bigger discount over a much shorter period will focus people's minds, really get them going through the doors of their local antiques shops and hopefully produce much better results all round," says H&A editor Angela Linforth.

Participating dealers will be listed on the BBC Homes & Antiques website (with a link to their own website) and in the magazine. Currently more than 40 dealers have signed up, including several BADA and LAPADA members.

Dealers wishing to participate should please contact rosannaholmes@bbcmagazines.com as soon as possible and no later than Monday, August 16 with their name, address, phone number. and website address.

There is no cost to participating dealers. For full terms and conditions, see www.bbchomesandantiques.com
