"Peter was a man of small build but with a massive personality," his son Richard told ATG.
Once a dealer himself, in 1994 he and his wife Heather launched the RAF Swinderby Antiques Fair at Swinderby Airfield in Lincolnshire. Over time the fair grew to become one of the largest of its kind in the country.
In 2008 Peter, known by many in the antiques trade as Mr Arthur Swallow, fell ill with cancer and retired from the business, handing the reins over to his sons Richard and Marc.
In 2009 the show relocated to the Lincolnshire Showground where it continues to gather momentum.
"Peter was a dealer through and through and loved the shows deeply. The buzz, friendships and memories he created over the years will never be forgotten.
