Gillian Baverstock, who died three years ago aged 75, amassed a large cache of work that includes 17 lots of original typescripts, many annotated, and nine original watercolour book illustrations.
There are also some 47 lots of annotated or autographed books by or for Enid Blyton and her family members. In addition, there are high quality sets sent to Enid as presentations from her grateful publishers.
Other interesting items include six of Enid Blyton's fur coats with her initials "E.M.D.W." (for her second marriage) embroidered into the lining.
Gillian, who was instrumental in guiding the Blyton estate after the author's death, married Donald Baverstock, the maverick television producer of That Was The Week That Was and editor of Tonight for the BBC in the 1960s, moving to ITV to assist in setting up Yorkshire Television.
Gillian and Donald moved to Ilkley, West Yorkshire, and remained there after he retired. She spent many years teaching at a local private primary school and was a staunch supporter of Bolton Priory. Donald died in 1995.
In the late 1990s she also set up and published her own children's magazine Blue Moon, in the hope of reviving youngsters' interests in traditional storytelling and fantasy as an antidote to modern-day cartoons and computer games. Despite its high standards of production and content, it survived for only 12 issues.
However, the project was simply one of a number of initiatives displaying Gillian's dedication to her mother's creative tradition - indeed she was also president of the Enid Blyton Literary Society - underlining the importance of her collection of Blyton memorabilia to her.
The sale will be held at Victoria Hall Salerooms, Ilkley, on Wednesday September 15, with viewing the previous Saturday, Monday and Tuesday.
