She was co-head of Post-War & Contemporary Art from 2001 to 2011, named deputy chairman, Americas, in 2008, and was appointed international chairman of the Post-War & Contemporary Development in 2011.
It follows the announcement in November that Oliver Barker is to take over responsibility for Contemporary art sales at Sotheby's in New York and London following the departure of long-time head Tobias Meyer.
