It took place sometime between 11pm and 10am on Monday-Tuesday, December 3-4, in Heronsgate. The thief, or thieves, gained access to the garden and broke a glass window to get in.

They then removed antiques including: a burr walnut games box containing chess, backgammon and escalado; a 14in (35.5cm) French gold clock; a 3in (7.5cm) small carriage clock; a Japanese cabinet, decorated with ivory, mother-of-pearl and coral drawers; two bronze Japanese warriors, one with a detachable spear and another with a detachable lamp; a bronze figure in a kimono playing a mandolin; a 7in (18cm) cockerel; an eggshell china tea set with wisteria decoration; a globular cloisonné vase decorated with pastel enamel flowers; a brass alms dish; a Russian papier maché box with mother-of-pearl decoration and a snow scene inside.
