The Young Guns movement started several years ago on Twitter, where younger dealers using new technology came together to promote their businesses and campaign to generate new and younger interest in the trade.
"We are delighted to be welcoming a group of these young dealers who are undoubtedly the future of the antiques trade," said fair organiser Dan Leyland. "We are expecting around ten specialists in a combined display that will add a further dimension to the fair."
Among the dealers taking part will be Doe & Hope from Oxfordshire; Bradley Carnes Fine Art from Lancashire; The Indian Art Centre; Lady Kentmores, whose proprietor, George Johnson is a co-founder of the group, as is Mark Hill, the specialist glass dealer who has exhibited at the NEC for several years and also joins the pavilion.
Several regular NEC dealers also participate, including Robbie Timms of S.& S. Timms Antiques from Bedfordshire, the furniture specialists, and Dominic Vincent of Garth Vincent Antiques.
