Custom-made by Form International/Hille in 1972, and exhibited at the 1979 Interiors Exhibition at Birmingham NEC, the frame is stainless steel rather than the chromed mild steel usually used, and this had to be imported from the US at a cost (in 1972) of £2.50 per inch.
