Brown, the seventh winner of the BBC show, is a PE teacher from Bedfordshire but after winning the competition has plans for a new career.

Speaking after her win, Brown, 31, said one of her ideas was to open a shop that combined her two great loves: cake and antiques.

She said: "If I can get my little vintage shop selling tea and cakes with random antiques that would be my ultimate dream.

"Let's wait and see what will come my way but I will be grabbing it with both hands and running with it, that's for sure. It would be crazy not to, wouldn't it?"

The popular television show had 14 million viewers tune in to watch Brown crowned Bake Off champion.

French Road Trip

Brown became friends with many of the contestants in the programme and she is planning a trip to France with fellow finalist Jane Beedle. She said: “I love all things vintage and I love France… We were saying we should go on a little road trip and then she can tell me off for buying massive antique things that will never fit in the car.”

After the final in the summer, contestants had to keep the results quiet until the programme was aired this week. Brown said she had hidden her winner's trophy in her antique chest until she was allowed to talk about it.
