The west London premises on Old Brompton Road is undergoing a refurbishment and expansion and will be able to accommodate the education department which will move from its current home in Fitzrovia, near Great Portland Street in 2018.

International managing director of Christie's Education Jane Hay said: “Being closer to works of art will enhance the student experience.”

Christie’s Education was founded in 1978 and offers both degree and non-degree programmes including Master’s and postgraduate diplomas validated by The Open University. It also offers Master’s degrees in the US.

'Christie's Lates'

Christie’s South Kensington holds more than 60 auctions a year as well as events including its ‘Christie’s Lates’ series. On December 6 it will host an evening event which will celebrate the company’s 250th anniversary which will include chairman of Christie’s South Kensington, Nic McElhatton, speaking on the art of auctioneering and a screening of clips from the latest BBC documentary on the auction firm called Sold! Inside the World’s Biggest Auction House.
