Cowdray House in West Sussex and the Majestic Hotel in North Yorkshire will be the venues of the new events, two of 12 Galloway fairs scheduled for next year.

“The two new locations mean that we continue to offer our dealers a wide choice of venues and locations,” said director Susan Galloway. She listed some of the necessary elements for the ideal Galloway Fair venue as “location, grandeur of the building, ample free car parking, sufficient space, easy off, loading and price.”

She added that there has been a positive response from regular exhibitors and that bookings have begun for the both events.

Galloway describes Cowdray House as a “direct replacement” of their Goodwood House fairs that ended two years ago (although they held events nearby at Avisford Park for the last two years). She plans to increase the number of fairs here to two per year starting in 2018.

The event in the Majestic Hotel is one of two annual events to be held in the organisers’ hometown of Harrogate.

“We are always on the lookout for new venues, so could add one in at any time,” said Galloway, who added that she is currently looking for a venue in Cumbria.

The inaugural Majestic Hotel fair takes place from August 18-20 and Cowdray House from October 20-22.
