The event has been jointly organised by London-based saleroom Spink, who also operate in Hong Kong and Singapore, along with US auctioneers Stacks Bowers, as well as Chinese firms Coin-in-Coin and Shouxi. It runs from August 19-21 at the Mira Hotel in Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong's shopping and entertainment district.

As well as the dealers, mints, numismatic societies and coin associations taking tables at the event, four numismatic auctions will also take place around the same time with Spink's two-day auction opening proceedings on August 17-18.

The new show aims to be international in its focus by bringing some of world’s leading coin experts under the same roof as major collectors. Experts who will be offering grading services at the show include Mike Sargent from PCGS for world coins, Bruce Thornton from PMG for banknotes, Huaxia Grading for ancient Chinese coins and sychees and Professor Hsu Yih Tzong for Chinese banknotes and coins.

As well as buying opportunities, it is not unusual at events like this for exhibitors purchase material on the spot. Expect plenty of trading.
