Over 60 ancient works of art will be offered in total spanning 3500BC up to the 2nd century AD. Twenty-four items will feature in the auctioneers’ Antiquities sale at Rockefeller Plaza on October 25 some of them with 19th and early 20th century provenances, including an Egyptian Ptolemaic period bronze cat estimated at $30,000-50,000 and a Cypriot carved limestone head of a male votary from c.500-400BC guided at $20,000-30,000.
