He joins a four-person team including fair director Jane Juran as well as Cally Dale, Zoe Brown and Pippa Roberts. The fair takes place at Battersea Evolution three times a year.
“The Decorative has always been a family-run business organised by antiques dealers for antiques dealers,” Juran said. “Darren knows the antiques business inside out and understands the spirit of the Fair so well.”
Hudson started his career in the Marylebone shop of Patricia Harvey, the fair’s founder, in 1992 and has exhibited at the Decorative fair in his own right for the past 20 years. He has been involved with the running of the event informally since 2016.
“It is a privilege to be part of this incredibly popular fair and to work with Jane and the team in shaping the ongoing success and dealer-friendly attitude of the Decorative fair", Hudson said.
The next edition of the event takes place from October 3-8.
