Preston Benson will lead the project which will feature the redevelopment of five Grade II listed townhouses into art galleries and exhibition space.
Benson, a consultant and qualified accountant, has experience working with property, hospitality and technology businesses including ArtHouse, CityHub and VirtualHotel.
He will be speaking at The Art Business Conference 2017 on September 6 at a seminar titled Gallery Think Tank: The Evolving Gallery Model.
The new scheme, close to the Victoria and Albert Museum and South Kensington underground station, will include offices, viewing rooms, art storage and 16 exhibition spaces varying in size at up to 3000 sq ft.
It received planning permission earlier this year and hopes to open by 2019.
The project is a joint venture between art dealer John Martin; Toby Anstruther, a property developer and chair of the landlord of the premises South Kensington Estates; property adviser Scott Murdoch; and businessman Hugh Garmoyle.
