The selection at Freeman’s on May 8 offers images from the mid-20th century. Most are portraits of celebrities from the world of pop, film, stage and fashion from the 1950s, ‘60s and ‘70s.  Among them are Terence Stamp, Julie Christie, Noel Coward, Ralph Richardson; Rudolph Nureyev; Jean Shrimpton and Audrey Hepburn.

The portraits were taken by famous names from the photographic world whose work has featured in publications such as British Vogue; Harper’s Bazaar and The Sunday Times. They include Cecil Beaton, Terry O’Neill, Patrick Duffy, Terence Donovan, and Lords Litchfield and Snowdon.
