The book has been written to help those interested in antiques to collect, buy and sell. Martin said: “The book took two years and it is all about the people I met during filming Flog It! and the wonderful places I visited. But it is also packed full of tips and tales.”
The launch took place at Daunt Books in Holland Park, west London and Martin is travelling the country for book signing events to promote its publication.
Martin will begin filming for his new show in January with Hungry Gap Productions. Called Curiosity, he described it as a cross between an antiques show and Crystal Maze.
His other new BBC show, Make Me A Dealer, has proved a ratings success. The first series, which totals 20 episodes, has been in the top-five most-watched shows each week since it started, averaging 1.7m-1.9m viewers, and Martin said it will be recommissioned for a second series.
