The one-day festival on June 24 on the street in Lisson Grove, close to the Marylebone area, called Antiques Anonymous Street Market, welcomed 90 dealers, up from 50 last September.

Organisers The Church Street Decorative Arts Dealers’ Group and Alfies Antique Market said footfall was between 5000-10,000 and the “glorious weather” meant there were many “happy traders”.

There is now a waiting list for next year.

Last week Alfies Antique Market launched its new Middle Eastern art, antiques and design area. Named AlFayez, the area provides space for around 25 antiques dealers across 4500sq ft in the refurbished lower-ground and ground floor.

At the launch guests included representatives from Westminster Council, which is supporting the event initiatives on the street, and local businesses such as Farrell’s Architects.
