The inaugural Fine Jewellery auction on March 21 is the first of what will be six sales a year, each with around 500 lots both period pieces and high-end contemporary jewellery - targeting an international buying audience. These sales will effectively replace the monthly Antique & Modern Jewellery auctions.
Pictured here are five highlights from the March sale displaying the cross-section of antique and vintage pieces on offer.
1. A bracelet wristwatch

2. Art Deco pendant earrings
A pair of Art Deco pendant earrings estimated at £7000-9000.
A pair of Art Deco pendant earrings with onyx beads, old-cut diamond collet studs and cabochon coral spacers. Estimate £7000-9000. Carrying French assay marks, they are also stamped 92401, Londres, Paris, New York, Made in France.
3. A 19th century brooch
A late 19th century brooch estimated at £1000-1500.

4. Aide memoire
A Louis XV gold, diamond and mother-of-pearl aide memoire estimated at £6000-8000.
A Louis XV gold, diamond and mother-of-pearl aide memoire with a paper calendar, dated 1774, and original gilt red Moroccan leather case. Estimate £6000-8000.
Given by Louis Dauphin and Marie-Antoinette Dauphine, whose portrait appear to the sides within rose-cut diamond surrounds, it was exhibited at Versailles in 1955 and last sold at Christie’s in 2015 as part of the collection from the family of Marie-Antoinette.
5. Portrait rings
A pair of early 18th century gold and rock crystal portrait rings estimated at £1000-1500.
A pair of early 18th century gold and rock crystal portrait rings depicting William of Orange with crown to the background, and Mary II with skull and royal cypher. Estimate £1000-1500. At some point the rings have been converted from pins or slides, probably at the time the shagreen case was made.
