Nicholas Worskett

Nicholas Worskett has joined Bellmans as specialist head of its book and manuscripts department.

Worskett has 30 years’ experience in the auction world including 17 years at Christie’s where he was head of department at South Kensington and senior specialist.  

Philip Belcher, senior executive director at Bellmans, said: “He has an outstanding knowledge, depth of experience and passion for his subject, which clients will find infectious. We look forward to his first sale here in early December.”

Bellmans has salerooms in Wisborough Green in Sussex and in Winchester.

Pennsylvania’s Alderfer Auction has promoted Allyson Constant Babcock to the position of appraiser and sales associate. Babcock, who has spent more than eight years in the auction industry, is the daughter of antiques dealer Douglas Constant.
