Kathleen Doyle, who was CEO for the past 25 years, will continue as chairman.

Laura is the youngest daughter of company founder William Doyle, who launched the firm in 1962.

Kathleen said: “Laura and Joanne are experienced and accomplished business professionals who will continue to advance the expansion of Doyle.”

Laura has worked at the family firm for nearly 20 years and began her career in its client services division. She has focused on growing the digital aspect of Doyle and launched Doyle’s online-only Hayloft Auctions division in 2016.

Mournet has held senior positions at Doyle for over 25 years, most recently as executive vice president and executive director of estate and appraisal services.

Kenneth McKenna will continue as chief financial officer at the firm that has a saleroom in New York and offices in Beverly Hills and in a suburb of Washington DC (Kensington, Maryland).

Doyle is the latest US auction house to reveal management changes. Last week Leslie Hindman Auctioneers and Cowan's Auctions announced a merger.
