Welsh ceramics star in William George & Co’s online timed auction on February 23, with this early Ewenny slipware pottery pig estimated at £1000-1300.

The dark red clay piece, decorated with a green slip and glazed, is inscribed in sgraffito Y Mochyn Bach Tew, which translates as The Little Fat Pig. It was designed by Horace Elliott and made at the Ewenny Pottery in the early 1900s.

Found in an attic in Derby, this 1950s Dinky transporter is going under the hammer at Hansons on February 22 in Derbyshire.

The Dinky is a model No 990 Gift Set Bedford Pullmore Transporter in blue, complete with four cars including a No 162 Hillman Minx.

It is estimated at £1500- 2000 and comes in its original blue and white striped box.

Tennants of Leyburn will offer the first part of a private collection of Modern and Contemporary art on February 25. The group includes works by Gordon Hopkins, John Kingerlee, Kitty North and John Lowrie Morrison, known as Jolomo.

This dynamic portrait by English artist Paul Wright (b.1973) is titled Head of a Versatile Man. The 3ft 11in x 3ft 3in (1.2 x 1m) oil on canvas is estimated at £400-600.

Boningtons’ February 22 sale in Essex will include this Napoleonic prisoner-of-war bone domino box.

Dating to the early 19th century, it is decorated with watercolour inserts of naively painted figures and buildings, each one preserved under a glazed panel. It contains 36 bone dominoes and a further 11 miniature dominoes, and has holes for cribbage.

In need of some restoration, it is guided at £400-600.
