LAPADA unveil new Royal Academy fair for May 2006
LAPADA will launch a new London flagship fair next year, when LAPADA@ TheRoyalAcademy opens from May 4-7.
LAPADA expect 70 to 80 members to exhibit at 6 Burlington Gardens which is already the venue for the London Original Print Fair and The Watercolours and Drawings Fair.
The LAPADA fair at Burlington Gardens followed events at the Royal College of Art (the first in 1991), the Commonwealth Institute in Kensington and a 2004 fair at Claridge’s.
All proved unsatisfactory as a long-term showcase before space was secured for a marquee event in Berkeley Square in 2009. The ninth edition of the fair returns on September 15-20 – to be followed three weeks later by a new boutique event, BADA Collection.
