Now in its 22nd year, the biannual event hosts dealers from across the UK, but particularly those from Scotland and the north of England.

Among the Caledonian contingent, Highland Antiques of Aberdeen brings silver, Cathedral Antiques comes with furniture while Billy Rae and Roselane Antiques offer jewellery. Also expect antiquarian book dealer Hilary Farquharson and furniture specialist Carse Antiques.

Dealers from south of the border include Fu Tsang Lunf of Yorkshire bringing oriental antiques and Rowles Fine Art from Shropshire. One of the pieces on offer is this bronze lamp by Adolphe Petit-Monsigny made in the shape of an ibis with an amber glass flower held in its beak. It is signed A Petit Monsigny to the side of one foot and is available from the stand of Scarab Antiques of Kent for £2500.
