In a statement to members of CADA when his appointment was announced, he said he planned to do “simple things well”. He includes among his responsibilities the promotion of the association to the public and potential clients.

He added: “Beyond the PR gold of our 40th anniversary in 2018, I believe we have a great opportunity to promote the CADA to an audience beyond those of the traditional client base and seek out new clients including local hotels and interior design professionals from the UK and US.”

Puddy is also a member of BADA and LAPADA and his family business, which specialises in garden ornament and statuary, was a founding member of the SALVO organisation.
