The aspect depicted is looking west towards the Green, with the Exhibition Centre entrance arch on the right (built for the Franco-British Exhibition in 1908 – the site now of the new Shepherd’s Bush station).
I enclose a postcard of the arch in its pomp, right. Apologies for the pedantry.
