Vintage angling photographs are likely to be on sale at the Redditch fair, similar to this one of two, dated to the 1940s, which John Andrews has priced at £20 the pair.
This event is returning to the Abbey Sports Stadium in Redditch, once the epicentre of the British fishing tackle industry, after being held in the Worcestershire town’s Kingsley Sports Centre since 2011.
Andrews says: “We first started at the Abbey 25 years ago when it was a show for members of the now defunct Collectors’ Register, a collective of antique and vintage fishing tackle enthusiasts which was formed in early 1990s.
“The fair takes place on Sunday, November 19, with a capacity 36 stalls consisting of the country’s leading vintage and antique fishing tackle dealers and collectors. I am expecting a bumper gate and a fizzing atmosphere.”
