Dating to the 19th century, this unsigned piece was acquired by a private collector from Christie’s in London in 1968.

This Jacobite wine glass is among a handful of examples consigned to an auction on February 22 at West Sussex auction house Toovey’s.
Dating from the mid-18th century, this 6in (16cm) high example has a drawn trumpet bowl engraved with a rose, two buds and an oak leaf, and stands on a multiple spiral air-twist stem with a conical foot.

English goldsmith and silversmith Paul Storr (1771-1844) is behind this creation in Boningtons’ sale in Epping, Essex, on February 28.
The 3½in (9cm) high George IV silver urn-form mug, stamped for Paul Storr, London 1820, is embossed and chased with fruiting vine tendrils and is estimated at £800-1200.

Northern art by artists such as Norman Cornish, Geoffrey Key, Peter Brook and Norman Ackroyd will be incorporated in a sale of modern and contemporary works at Tennants Auctioneers on February 24 in Leyburn, North Yorkshire.
Among the works on paper is this 10 x 14in (25 x 35cm) graphite townscape by Cheshire-born artist Trevor Grimshaw (1947-2001).
Factories in Landscape is typical of Grimshaw’s moody monochrome depictions of northern industrial towns and comes with provenance to the collection of the Leach studio potter Trevor Corser (1938-2015).
