A private single-owner collection of Royal Worcester will go under the hammer at Catherine Southon on July 25 in Selsdon, Surrey.

Comprising 60 items with estimates from £40-2500, the collection ranges from blush ivory vases to large centrepieces and is expected to fetch in the region of £15,000.

This 17in (43cm) Renaissance-style centrepiece above, modelled by James Hadley as a nautilus shell and decorated by James Callowhill, c.1878, is estimated at £1500-2500.

A René Lalique opalescent stained and frosted ‘Ceylan’ glass vase is among nine pieces of period Lalique glass going under the hammer at Tennants of Leyburn on July 21.

The 10in (25cm) vase has a series of relief-moulded budgerigars perched around the rim and is estimated at £2500-3500.

A sale of vintage film posters at Surrey saleroom Ewbank’s on August 2 will include this 2ft 6in x 3ft 4in (76cm x 1.01m) British Quad design for the 1971 crime film Get Carter starring Michael Caine (above).

Designed by the Italian artist Arnaldo Putzu (1927-2012), the poster is estimated at £1500-2500.

On July 19, Duke’s will offer a small privately consigned group of Pablo Picasso (1881-1973) ceramics in its Art & Design post 1850 sale in Dorchester, Dorset.

This 16½in (42cm) wide ‘Visage’ charger, above, moulded with a smiling face, was made in an edition of 100 and is impressed to the base with Madoura Plein Feu and Empreinte Originale de Picasso.

Estimate £3000-5000.
