Comprised of works lent from private collections, the show spans the artist’s career and reflects his love of light and colour.
British-born Fry was the cousin of Roger Fry and Howard Hodgkin. He painted and taught in the UK but by the 1970s had become increasingly interested in the light of Spain, Malta and Morocco. He later travelled to India where he created compositions inspired by the country’s landscape and culture.
Measuring 3ft 8in x 4ft 1in (1.12 x 1.22m), the painting is offered for £50,000 + ARR. The exhibition continues until June 8.
