Although unsigned, this 6in (15cm) exotic creation of a youthful dancing girl has been attributed to the renowned Romanian Art Deco sculptor Demetre Chiparus (1886-1947).
The small ivory statuette, on a faceted onyx plinth, is of identical form to a larger ivory and gilt bronze figure called Odalisque by Chiparus that sold at Bonhams Knightsbridge in June last year for £20,000.
The piece is estimated at £2000-3000 in a European works of art and clocks sale at Chiswick Auctions in west London on June 6.

Over a dozen pictures and sculptures by British artist Michael Ayrton (1921-75) will go under the hammer at Modern Art Auctions in Scarborough on June 12.
Estimated at £3000-5000 is The Watcher [Sentinel], a 3ft 4in x 19½in (1.02m x 50cm) signed oil on board from 1959.
Ayrton, who was passionate about nuclear disarmament, entered the work into a CND fund-raising auction that same year. It has since been in a UK private collection.
Bears’ grease was a popular remedy for hair loss during the 17th century until the early 20th century, based on the belief that bears owed much of their thick and ample hair to the fat in their bodies.
This 11½in (29cm) high barbers’ Staffordshire pottery jug, modelled as a chained bear with detachable head and baiting dog, dates to c.1820 and is inscribed Bears Grease to the sash.
It is estimated at £1500-2500 in June 9 sale of commemoratives, Staffordshire pot lids and Prattware at Historical & Collectable in Padworth, Berkshire.
