Published in 1781 in Riga, the ‘Critique of Pure Reason’, as it is known in English, was a revolutionary and hugely influential work in the development of Western philosophical thought and one that brought its author international and lasting fame.

Showing only minor internal foxing, but with some staining to the title-page, this copy was bound in contemporary half calf.
